INK + TRANSFER PRINTING

A comparison of the print methods we use for online orders, plus some reference photos.

Note a few of our products just have one option, no decisions required!

Ink Printing (DTG)

Digital printing is textile ink applied directly to fabric, using similar technology to an inkiet printer. It's best suited to light-midweight fabrics. The thicker and fluffier a garment is, the harder the ink has to work to cover up the fabric.

Transfer Printing (DTF)

DTF uses similar inks to digital printing. Your design is printed on film first, then applied using a heat press. It works well on all garment types and tote bags. The transers are fully opaque with solid, consistent colour, but not all designs are suitable for DTF.

Other Methods

DTG and DTF are best for short runs (1-50), but we also screen print and embroider. If you're interested in these methods, get in touch with our bulk order experts.
